Scheduling an appointment
The first step in scheduling an appointment is to have your referring physician complete the neurodiagnostic skin biopsy requistion form, which can then be sent electronically, faxed, or printed and mailed to Janice Coulter in the MGH Neurology Clinic. Once we have the information from your physician, we will telephone you to schedule an appointment. Phone the MGH Neurology clinic (617-726-5533) if you have not heard from us within a week.

Medical interpretation
Allow one month for your skin biopsy to be processed into microscope slides, morphometric analysis performed, and a Pathology report to be sent by mail to the referring physician. For referring physicians within the Partners HealthCare System, results will also be available by computer through the LMR, CAS or PCIS system. If the referring physician has not received your results after one month, he or she should call the MGH Neurology clinic (617-726-5533) to check that the correct name and address were provided to us.
